Hi Everyone!
After Bavaria I figured I was so close to Switzerland that I better go and check it out. I hopped on a train from Munich first to Zurich, stayed there for about 3 hours, and then back on the train reach and spend the night in Geneva.
Zurich was pretty cool. I scootered around the town which was fun and a great way to see a lot in a little time. I could tell this place is used to having loads of snow, so it seemed a bit odd to be there in +28 Celsius.
Geneva was a lot smaller of a town than I think I imagined, and I was apparently staying in the shady part of town. I was in a laundromat with umm.... ladies of the evening up and down the whole street. They each had a nice red plush chair to sit in and wave to all their potential customers. Sorry, no pictures - they didn't even like me having my phone out at all while I was waiting for my laundry.
Sorry not many pictures of Geneva at all really. I had planned to do some touring around in the morning after getting my train reservation sorted, but I soon realized that the reason I couldn't book it online was because they were all sold out. There was only one available ticket to get from Geneva to Milan and it was leaving right then so I jumped on. It turned out to be a good change of events because instead of going direct, this train went right through the heart of the Alps. You British Columbian's will be able to relate with me - the Alps just don't feel right. They are beautiful but their shape or profile or something is foreign. You have to see it yourself and then I think you'll understand. I didn't realize how particular I was about my mountains until I saw these ones. I suppose it would be fair to say that the Alps are much more picturesque - classic mountains.
Not too many highlights on this leg. Mostly getting from where I was to where I want to be - ITALY!
Having loads of fun.
Hope you all are doing well.
Eric.

Was that pointy mountain the Matterhorn 🧐 🎢
