Hi Everyone,

Was in Vienna for the past two days. A lot more quiet of a leg this time 'round. My little "Vienna Boutique Hostel" was a bit of a ghost town. I made the most of it though and put on 37,000 steps yesterday alone!

The city was once one of the cultural epicentres for opera, music, art, education, etc. and still lives up to this in many ways. It's very much a destination university town for artists and musicians. Of the people that were in the hostel, some were high school students from Berlin looking forward to the open-house happening at the university.

It's pretty obvious in the video, but Vienna certainly has a theme going on with all its major architecture - white with oxygenated/green copper trim. I'm not sure I have a large enough sample set to say this conclusively but it would seem to appear that one thing large German speaking cities share in common is the abundance of graffiti. Some of it is truly art, some a bold political statement, and some is just unpleasant, unnecessary, and actually unfortunate.

Schönbrunn Palace takes the cake for me so far on spectacle and beauty, it was magnificent.

Had to sample the Indian food I kept walking by right by my hostel. It was excellent.

I have given myself only one day to explore here now in Bratislava so I'm going to keep this one short and get out there!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Eric
